Monte Carlo Out, Park In

Hopefully no one was in love with the Monte Carlo concept … because it’s changing. The older property is undergoing a rebranding and rebirth. The property is set to be renamed Park MGM. In addition, the hotel will also feature a second hotel within the property — The NoMad Lad Vegas (think Delano and Nobu style). The entire transformation will ring up to a cool $450 million and include a total room makeover, new venues and a NoMad restaurant.

It’s set to be the largest venue built entirely for music and entertainment.

Paid Parking Starts June 6 at MGM Properties

If you’re visiting Vegas and parking on The Strip, there’s a good chance you’re going to have to start forking over some dollars to park. Beginning on June 6, a charge for parking kicks off at Aria, Bellagio, Monte Carlo, New York - New York, and Vdara. Other MGM properties follow suit a few days later. Locals, however, won’t have to face the music until the end of the year. For those parking, it’s free for less than one hour or for those in the higher tier of M Life. Hotel guests will have to fork over fees from $5 - $10 for self parking and more for valet.
