The final five events for Bellagio’s popular year-long food and wine dinner — the Epicurean series — has been announced.
On Friday, Sept, 14, at 6:30 p.m., Shafer Vineyards will be on hand pairing food from Prime Steakhouse’s Executive Chef Sean Griffin. Winemaker Doug Shafer and Bellagio Director of Wine and Master Sommelier Jason Smith will be on-hand.
Then, on Friday, Oct. 5 at 3 p.m., the series continues with Master Sommeliers Who Make Wine. Master Sommerliers Richard Betts, Greg Harrington, Emmanuel Kemiji and Bobby Stuckey will be at the event, along with Smith, to chat about wine tasting and wine making.
The following day, Oct. 6 at 11:30 a.m. is Four Farms, Three Chefs, Two Brothers, One Table with Sensi Executive Chef Royden Ellamar and Bretty Smith, along with Executive Chef of Boulder, Colorado’s Zolo Grill. They join FOOD & WINE’s Gail Simmons and Smith for a farm-style luncheon.
To round out the weekend, at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct., 7, the series continues with Jasmine Dreams of Dim Sum & Champagne, featuring a hand-crafted dim sum by Jasmine Executive Chef Hiew Guh Kong and Noodles Executive Chef Patrick Lee. The event is hosted by FOOD & WINE’S Smith.
Ending the series is Bon Appetit Patz & Hall Wine Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 6:30 p.m. The popular magazine presents the single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Patz & Hall, paired with a menu from Bellagio Executive Chef Edmund Wong.
