Smith Center Announces New Season

The city’s major performing arts venue — Smith Center — has released its new season of shows. The 2016-17 Broadway Las Vegas series begins in August with “Beautiful — The Carole King Musical,” and continues with “Fun Home,” “Matilda the Musical,” “The Sound of Music.” It rings in the holidays with “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas,” “Motown the Musical,” “Finding Neverland,” “An American in Paris,” and, finally, “The Phantom of the Opera.” Tickets start at $203 for the series.
